The Payment Settings section allows you to integrate payment platforms directly into your accounting system. By connecting to these platforms, you can seamlessly manage payments, enabling you to make and receive transactions without leaving the system. This article guides you through configuring the available payment gateways.
Supported Payment Platforms
The system supports integration with the following platforms:
1. Paystack
- Credentials Required:
- Publish Key: This public key identifies your Paystack account and allows communication with the gateway.
- Secret Key: This private key is used to securely authorize payments.
2. Razorpay
- Credentials Required:
- Key ID: The unique identifier for your Razorpay account.
- Key Secret: A secure code used to authenticate transactions.
3. Stripe Payment
- Credentials Required:
- Publish Key: Similar to Paystack, this identifies your Stripe account for public operations.
- Secret Key: Used for securely processing transactions.
4. PayPal Payment
- Credentials Required:
- PayPal Merchant Account: Your unique account ID for PayPal, allowing integration and transaction management.
How to Configure Payment Settings
Step 1: Navigate to Payment Settings
- Log in to your account.
- Go to Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Select Payment Settings from the submenu.
Step 2: Choose a Payment Platform
- Click on the payment platform you wish to integrate (Paystack, Razorpay, Stripe, or PayPal).
- A form will appear for the platform's required credentials.
Step 3: Enter Credentials
- Retrieve the required credentials from your payment platform account:
- Log in to your payment gateway account.
- Navigate to the API or Developer section to find your keys (e.g., Publish Key, Secret Key, etc.).
- Copy and paste these keys into the respective fields in the accounting system.
Step 4: Save and Test Integration
- Click Save Changes to store your credentials.
- Test the integration by performing a small transaction to ensure everything is working correctly.
Tips for Secure Integration
- Protect Your Keys: Never share your Secret Keys publicly or via email. Treat them as sensitive data.
- Regular Updates: If you regenerate API keys in your payment platform account, ensure you update them in the accounting system immediately.
- Enable Notifications: Many platforms allow you to receive alerts for transactions, which can help monitor activity in real time.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Invalid Credentials Error: Double-check that you entered the keys correctly without additional spaces or typos.
- Failed Transactions: Verify that your payment gateway account is active and has sufficient balance or linked accounts.
- System Not Responding: Clear your browser cache or try accessing the system from another device.
